The SilverHook Powerboats company produces one of the world's fastest mono hull watercrafts.
SilverHook Powerboats uses the IBM Watson IoT Platform service within Bluemix as the basis for its real-time power boat telematics platform, allowing it to run complex diagnostic analytics in real time on racing boats traveling at high speeds on the ocean, said Nigel Hook, CEO, DataSkill.

IBM and Sogeti High Tech have worked together to build a smart building solution. We demonstrate how different rooms or floors can be instrumented with a smartEngine gateway. A variety of sensors are connected to each gateway. SmartEngine is able to understand each protocol and data format.
Data and events are forwarded as they occur by each gateway to IBM’s IoT Cloud by sending JSON over the MQTT Protocol. A Bluemix application processes incoming messages based on a flow that can be configured separately per room. Some of the data is just captured and stored in the historian. Some of the data is consumed by the live user interface. Some of the data can trigger alerts.

You’ll need a smartphone and a device with a larger screen
The main NODE.js application requires a user to register a unique user name and PIN on their laptop or tablet. Once authorized using the correct combination of user name and PIN on the companion smartphone web site, the main application renders a number of realtime visualizations representing the movement of the device associated with that user.

From your dashboard, open the service and launch the Watson IoT Platform portal to start connecting your devices.
